Hours: Primarily Day Shift. Hours may be adjusted in response to workload demands. Low census may be utilized in accordance with hospital policy. Weekend and Holiday rotations may be required
Qualifications/background requirements:
- Graduate of Formal Advanced program as Nurse Practitioner.
- Current and valid license to practice in Michigan.

Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) certification required within three months of hire.
- Certification by nationally recognized organization for applicable Advanced Practice Profession.
- Demonstrates ability to establish effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, patients, families, physicians, and all other
- Demonstrates the ability to function in a leadership position by serving as a resource person, assuming leadership role in an emergency/crisis situation and delegating specific tasks to personnel as indicated.

- Demonstrates the ability to communicate in speech, writing and reading in English language.

Job summary:
Under the direction of the Collaborating/Participating/Directing Physician, with limited supervision and broad general direction, the Advanced Practice Professional provides clinical services related to cardiopulmonary services. The care provided is comprehensive in scope and includes the overall coordination of the care of the patient’s health problems, including biological, behavioral or social. The position requires compliance with applicable Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, Health System policies and procedures, protocols and Collaborating/Participating/Directing Physician protocols (when applicable) and Clinic policies and procedures. The position requires compliance with acceptable principles, standards and ethics of the national, state and local associations that apply to and govern the licensed professional, hospital regulatory agency requirements and applicable clinic regulatory agency requirements. When applicable, the position also requires compliance with additional guidelines as set forth in contract.
