“Go Red” Event Focuses on Women’s Health on February 9

An early Valentine for women throughout the local community, the annual “Go Red Ladies Night,” presented by the McKenzie Health System Foundation and sponsored in part by SEMCO Energy, will take place in person this year on February 9 at Woodland Hills Golf Club in Sandusky.

With free admission, the special event will “take stroke care to heart” as Director of Nursing Services Rebecca Stoliker shares how McKenzie Health System has pursued the best in rural stroke care. The presentation will include a video highlighting how telemedicine is used to be effective in the treatment of a life-threatening stroke. Attendees can take home valuable information detailing steps they can take to be proactive in their health. “Go Red Ladies Night” will also feature vendors, door prizes, and refreshments, as well as a cash bar. Chair massages and psychic readings will be available for an additional fee. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with fun for all running through 8 p.m. Registration is now available at www.McKenzieHealth.org/GoRed.

“We are thrilled to come back together in person to celebrate the amazing women in the community while focusing on heart health and wellness during American Heart Month,” said Penny Tubbs, McKenzie Health System Foundation Community Relations Chair. “This event is always a highlight, and we can’t wait to see you next month to celebrate, connect, and ‘Go Red!’”
