Our Laboratory Services Department is responsible for all blood and body
fluid testing ordered by your provider. Because approximately 70% of all
medical decisions are based on laboratory results, we are committed to
providing the highest degree of accuracy in our lab testing.
The McKenzie Health System Laboratory Services Department has been accredited by the
College of American Pathologists (CAP) since 1996. This accreditation is the gold standard in laboratory
accreditation. Compliance with CAP regulations assures accuracy in patient
results, giving your provider the confidence to prescribe the correct
treatment.

Hours
Outpatient lab draw hours:
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon
Urine Drug Screen Collection Times for McKenzie Laboratory:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Our Laboratory performs the following tests in-house:
Routine chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, urinalysis, and
serology testing
Therapeutic drug levels
Urine drug testing
Cardiac markers
Breath alcohol screening
Tests that cannot be performed by our laboratory are sent to our reference
laboratory in Saginaw at Covenant Healthcare.
Please check with your insurance company to see if your laboratory specimens
need to be analyzed at a different laboratory to avoid additional fees.
