McKenzie Health System Offers Free Screenings for Men Throughout September

In recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, McKenzie Health System will offer free PSA, glucose, and cholesterol screenings to the first 50 men who participate during September 2026.

The free screenings are made possible through a donation from Gladiators Wear Pink and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Routine screenings can provide valuable insight into a person’s health and help identify potential concerns before symptoms appear,” said Dr. James L. Sams of McKenzie Health System. “We encourage men to take advantage of this opportunity and make preventive care a regular part of protecting their health.”

Men may bring in a promotional coupon or simply mention “free screenings for men” during registration to receive the screenings at no charge.

Screenings are available at the McKenzie Health System Outpatient Services Clinic, located near the north side entrance of the hospital campus at 120 Delaware Street in Sandusky. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Glucose and cholesterol screenings require a fasting blood test. For fasting instructions or to schedule an appointment, call the Outpatient Services Clinic at 810-648-6110.
