Sanilac EMS Community Paramedics Now Providing File of Life Packets to Support Emergency Preparedness

File of Life

As part of McKenzie Health System’s ongoing commitment to proactive and compassionate care, the Sanilac EMS Community Paramedic Program is now offering File of Life packets to patients during home visits and by request. These easy-to-use tools are designed to help individuals be prepared in case of an emergency, providing critical information for emergency responders when every second counts.

The File of Life is a simple form that records essential medical information—including current medications, allergies, chronic conditions, and emergency contacts—that can be placed on a refrigerator or carried in a wallet. Emergency responders are trained to look for these forms and use them to deliver faster, more informed care.

“Caring for our community—one visit at a time. Our Community Paramedic team is proud to provide this extra level of support for patients and their families,” said Rebecca Stoliker, Director of Nursing Services at McKenzie Health System. “The File of Life is just one more way we’re working to enhance safety and emergency readiness in our community.”

In addition to offering File of Life packets during home visits, Community Paramedics are also reaching out to prior referrals to ensure they receive this helpful resource.
