The McKenzie Health System Foundation's Community Relations Committee is delighted to host the annual Little Red Dress event, focusing on women's heart health, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mint restaurant, located at 4 Sanilac Avenue in Sandusky.

This free event aims to educate and empower women regarding heart health, emphasizing the importance of prevention, early detection, and the connection between mental and heart well-being.

The evening will feature guest speakers:

· Dr. James Sams, MD: Just the Facts, Ma'am! Dr. Sams will break down the basics of heart health and share steps community members can take for a healthier heart.

· Brandy Trepkowski, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC: Heart & Mind: A 2-way Street Nurse Practitioner Trepkowski will shed light on the relationship between mental health and heart health.

Additional highlights include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, vendor shopping, and plenty of time for conversation and fun.

“We are excited to bring together women from our community to focus on heart health and overall well-being,” said Melissa Anderson, McKenzie Foundation Community Relations Chair. “This event offers valuable insights and a supportive environment for women to learn and connect.”
