Coping with Grief and Loss the topic for the January 17 “Healthy Living…Together” Session

Jeff Thompson, Clinical Supervisor, Sanilac County Community Mental Health

McKenzie Health System has announced that “Healthy Living…Together” will start the new year off with a session focusing on “Coping with Grief and Loss” with guest speaker Jeff Thompson, Clinical Supervisor at Sanilac County Community Mental Health. The session will help individuals learn how to manage grief and loss and support others going through a difficult time. Online registration for the free event is now available at www.McKenzieHealth.org/Healthy-Living-Together. The live session takes place from noon to 1 p.m. and includes the ability to watch via Zoom or call in via phone; “Healthy Living…Together” events are also recorded and shared via McKenzie Health System’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Speakers will be on video so participants can see and hear them; participants will be able to type interactive questions and comments for the Q&A discussion.

“Grief and loss can be particularly challenging to bear during the darker, colder winter months when many people tend to isolate and go out less often, so we are pleased to start the year with some meaningful tips and support for anyone experiencing a loss,” said Nina Barnett, Public Relations and Foundation Coordinator at McKenzie Health System and Healthy Living Together Committee Chair. “Our online and in-person communities offer a safe place to ask questions, learn more, and find the support and resources you need.”

Community members can learn more and register for each free event by calling 810-648-6117 or visiting the website at www.McKenzieHealth.org/Healthy-Living-Together.
