McKenzie Health System Expands Senior Fitness Classes

Sanilac County, Mich. – Thanks to growing interest and demand, McKenzie Health System is extending its Senior Fitness classes through spring with an additional session that will run April 4-May 27.

“We are thrilled that so many people have taken advantage of these classes and are focusing on their health and wellness in 2022,” said Nina Barnett, Public Relations and Foundation Coordinator, McKenzie Health System. “While we typically take a break until September for this class, we had so many requests for spring classes and are pleased that we are able to host an additional session for seniors this year. There is a suggested $20 donation and everyone is welcome to join in the fitness fun!”

The new classes offered by McKenzie Health System include:

Countryside Free Methodist Church

912 W. Sanilac Road, Sandusky

Tuesday’s and Thursday’s; 9:00 –10:00 a.m.

Lexington United Methodist Church

5597 Main Street, Lexington

Monday’s and Wednesday’s; 9:00 –10:00 a.m.

The staff at McKenzie Health System is continually evaluating CDC guidelines and recommendations along with local transmission rates. This information may impact the posted schedule of classes. If community members have not already been vaccinated, they are encouraged to do so and masking is required in classes regardless of vaccination status.
