About
Trisha Ameel, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at McKenzie After-Hours Clinic, bringing nearly two decades of diverse nursing experience to the team. A lifelong resident of Sanilac County, Trisha grew up on a family farm in Palms and graduated from Deckerville High School. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Clair County Community College in 2008 and went on to work in emergency departments and intensive care units at Port Huron Hospital, Hills and Dales General Hospital, and Covenant Healthcare.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020 and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2024, both at Saginaw Valley State University. Trisha completed clinical rotations at McKenzie and was inspired by the team's compassion, responsiveness, and commitment to rural healthcare. She is the proud mother of two children, Lillian and Lukas, who attend Sandusky schools.
