September Lunch and Learn Helps You Understand Health Insurance!

McKenzie Health System features Amy Ruedisueli, VP of Finance, and Marie Sparrer, Director of Patient Financial Services, to present “Insurance-What You Need to Understand” at the\, scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from Noon to 1 p.m., in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room. Lunch and Learn is a community education series held every third Wednesday of the month.  The cost for the workshops is $5, and lunch is included in the price. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Health insurance can be terribly confusing these days,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “‘Why are some things covered and some things not?’   ‘What’s the difference between co-pays and deductibles?’   ‘What does it mean if I have a PPO or HMO?’  These are just a few of the questions that many people have and that Amy and Marie can help explain at our September 20 Lunch and Learn workshop.”

“The workshop will be presented in a relaxed, personal atmosphere, where audience members will feel free to ask questions,” adds Blasius.  “And all attendees will have a nutritious, healthy meal.  We hope you will join us as we address this important topic!”
