Rebecca Stoliker, MSN, RN, Director of Nursing Services at McKenzie Health System, has earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Administration and Management from Aspen University. She graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

Stoliker brings 21 years of healthcare experience to her role and has served McKenzie Health System for 19 years. A graduate of Sandusky High School, she began her healthcare journey through the Health Occupations program at the Sanilac Career Center before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University.

Her interest in nursing began in first grade when her grandfather lived at home on hospice during his battle with cancer.

“I was his helper and ‘nurse’ when my parents were busy,” Stoliker said. “While I didn’t do much at the time, the care provided and the support of the hospice nurses left a lasting impression on me.”

During nursing school, Stoliker worked at McKenzie as a Student Nurse Tech, gaining hands-on experience while further solidifying her commitment to rural healthcare.

Over the years, she has served in acute care, the emergency department, care coordination, swing bed coordination, and management. For the past six years, she has served as Director of Nursing Services, overseeing Acute Care, Emergency Services, Surgical Services, EMS, and the Community Paramedic Program.

“I have always enjoyed caring for the community I live in rather than being part of a larger health system where the connectivity is often lost,” Stoliker said. “While rural healthcare can present challenges, it also allows for a personalized touch, added trust, confidence, and empathy that makes a meaningful difference.”

In addition to her leadership role, Stoliker serves on the Sanilac Career Center Health Occupations Advisory Board, the University of Michigan FERN Nursing Advisory Board, and participates in the Thumb Community Health Partnership Employer Led Collaborative. She supports education and workforce development efforts aimed at strengthening rural healthcare access for the future.

Outside of work, Stoliker says her faith, family, and friends are the foundation of her life. Much of her spare time is spent attending sporting events and supporting those she loves. With her master’s degree completed, she looks forward to reconnecting with old hobbies and finding new ones between sports seasons.

McKenzie Health System congratulates Stoliker on this achievement and her continued dedication to serving the community.
