Eastern Michigan Bank has always believed in supporting the people and communities it serves. That commitment was front and center when the bank made their pledge to McKenzie Health System’s new hospital building project through a naming opportunity sponsorship.
Will Oldford, President and CEO of Eastern Michigan Bank, shared that the decision to support the project came easily. “The vision behind this new hospital is something we believe will truly move the local community forward,” he said. “It’s about more than bricks and mortar—it’s about improving lives, expanding care, creating jobs, and ensuring loved ones can access quality healthcare close to home.”

As a community bank with roots in the region going back over a century, Eastern Michigan Bank has always embraced its role in building stronger, healthier communities. “We see the challenges and the hopes of our neighbors every day,” Oldford said. “Our staff live in the communities we serve. We raise our families here. When you care deeply about a place, you want to see it thrive.”
The bank chose to sponsor an inpatient room in the new facility—something visible and lasting that reflects both their support for local healthcare and their desire to inspire others to join the effort. “It’s important for people to see that local businesses believe in this project. Hopefully, it encourages others to take part as well.”
Oldford also spoke to the heart of the matter: that behind every business, every institution, are people. “Eastern Michigan Bank is people,” he said. “And we all want what’s best for our families, friends, and neighbors. Investing in this hospital is investing in all of us—our health, our future, and the local community.”
With locations in three counties and a long-standing local presence, Eastern Michigan Bank’s generous support reflects what community banking is all about—helping people, building trust, and making a difference where it matters most.
