The McKenzie Health System Foundation’s “Building Together” digital giving campaign is underway now through November 7, 2025, with a community goal of raising $50,000 in support of McKenzie Health System’s new hospital project.
Thanks to an early anonymous $10,000 challenge match, a $5,000 anonymous challenge match, and a Kohler’s Propane Company $5,000 challenge match, every dollar given goes even further. Community members, local businesses, and McKenzie supporters have already begun stepping up to help build the future of local healthcare close to home.
“All of this is about access,” said Steve Barnett, President and CEO at McKenzie Health System. “When people in our community need care — emergency care, imaging, surgery, therapy, lab work, infusion — they deserve to get it here, without delay and without distance being a barrier. This campaign is one more way our community is actively helping make that future possible.”
“Building Together. Moving Forward.” invites donors to give directly or to create and share personal fundraising pages as “Champions.” Individuals, families, businesses, and community groups can rally their own circles, tell their own “why this matters,” and help drive progress toward the $50,000 goal. All dollars raised go directly to the new hospital project.
As of October 30, 2025, in addition to Kohler’s Propane Company, we are pleased to announce Gold Sponsor Sanilac Broadcasting and Silver Sponsors Clear Ideas and Tribune Recorder Leader.
“Our sponsors are doing more than putting their name on something,” said Erin Carlson, McKenzie Foundation Circle of Friends Chair. “They’re investing in emergency care, in imaging, in lab work, in surgery — in the services their friends, employees, and families count on. This is local people helping local people.”
