Emerson Donates $5,000 Toward Hospital Building Project

Continuing a decades-long tradition of support for local healthcare, Emerson Industrial Automation/ASCO Numatics has generously donated $5,000 to the McKenzie Health System Foundation in support of the new hospital building project.

The donation, presented by Emerson Industrial Automation/ASCO Numatics Materials Manager Tom Buerkle, underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to the community’s well-being and to advancing access to high-quality healthcare in Sanilac County.

In addition to their generous financial contributions, Emerson has partnered with McKenzie Health System for many years through Workforce Wellness initiatives, including on-site health fairs, safety training, and wellness education. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting employee health, reducing risk, and promoting a strong, healthy workforce—benefiting both the company and the broader community.

“We are grateful for Emerson’s continued partnership and generous support,” said Billi Jo Hennika, Chief Operating Officer of McKenzie Health System. “They have been a valued donor for many years, and their investment in our new hospital project is another example of their dedication to the health of our community and the future of rural healthcare.”

The new hospital project, which recently received a Letter of Conditions from the USDA’s Community Facilities Program for a direct loan, is expected to break ground in late 2025. This transformational project will provide a modern healthcare facility designed to meet the evolving needs of the community while enhancing patient care, safety, and efficiency.
