McKenzie Health System Adds Contactless Check-in for Patients

Making it easier and safer for patients to check-in for appointments and procedures, McKenzie Health System recently launched a new contactless check-in system provided by healow®. The system is designed to streamline the entire check-in and payment process and reduce points of contact to enhance safety and convenience during the pandemic.

Two days before an appointment, patients will receive a text reminder of their appointment, which will allow them to begin the check-in process. They can remotely review demographic information, confirm insurance details, sign consent forms, and review medications/allergies/surgeries/medical history. In the near future, patients will also be able to make any required co-payments. On the day of appointment, they can let their provider know they have arrived and receive details on where to go next.

“Patient and employee safety are our chief concerns at McKenzie and we are proud to further expand our efforts to save time, promote convenience and enhance safety for everyone in our community,” said McKenzie Health System Director of Healthcare Practices Debbie Ruggles.

All McKenzie family healthcare clinics continue to offer televisits and phone consultations, when appropriate, in addition to in-person visits. To schedule an appointment or learn more about the new check-in option, call 810-648-0610. Additional information is also available on the McKenzie website at www.McKenzieHealthSystem.org/Family-Healthcare.

The new healow® CHECK-IN is now available at all of the McKenzie Health System clinics. Patients will be encouraged to opt-in when making their next appointment.
