June Healthy Lifestyle Workshop features “Kids Can Cook Too”

Calling all families with children! Aaron Puzan, Chef at Autumnwood of Deckerville, will be the featured speaker at the Monday, June 26, 2017, “Kids Can Cook Too” Healthy Lifestyle Workshop, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room at 120 N. Delaware, Sandusky. Pre-registration for this free class is required by calling Nina Barnett, McKenzie Health System, at 810-648-6127, or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Summer vacation is upon us and what better way to help occupy children than by letting them learn to help you cook,” reports Karolyn McEntee, Director at Great Start Collaborative-Sanilac and member of the Healthy Lifestyle Committee. “Even small children can help with measuring and adding ingredients, and older children can learn how to cook simple meals for the family. What a confidence booster for them and a great life skill to learn!”

“Please join us for this free workshop that will provide valuable information and fun,” invites Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System, and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson. “Chef Puzan is sure to have great tips for both you and the children in your life!”

For more information about the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127. We hope to see you there!
