McKenzie Health System is inviting the community to an informal “Meet & Greet” to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Trisha Ameel, FNP-C, to McKenzie Family Healthcare in Sandusky. The event will take place Friday, January 16, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Sandusky High School, during the home boys’ varsity basketball game. The event will take place by the concession stand, and admission to the game is not necessary.

Community members are encouraged to stop by the high school to visit with Trisha and members of the McKenzie Family Healthcare team, enjoy complimentary refreshments, pick up a small gift (while supplies last), and enter a drawing for a giveaway.

Ameel, a familiar and trusted provider in the community, recently began seeing patients at McKenzie Family Healthcare in Sandusky, where she provides care alongside Dr. Mark English and Dr. Helda Souresho. In her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she cares for patients of all ages, helping individuals and families manage their health through preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of everyday illnesses and injuries.

“We’re excited to officially welcome Trisha to our McKenzie Family Healthcare team in Sandusky and to celebrate with the community in a fun, familiar setting,” said Heather Baumeister, Director of Healthcare Practices at McKenzie Health System. “Many people already know Trisha from the excellent care she has provided in our After-Hours Clinic, and this event is a chance to connect with her in her new role as a primary care provider.”

A lifelong resident of the area, Ameel is passionate about caring for local families close to home.

“I’m truly honored to continue caring for this community in a family healthcare setting,” said Ameel. “I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new patients, and being part of their long-term health journey. I hope people will stop by before the game or between games just to say hello.”
