Community support was on full display as golfers, sponsors, volunteers and donors came together for the 20th Annual McKenzie Health System Auxiliary Golf Scramble, helping raise more than $50,000—the most ever generated by the event.
Held over two days at Woodland Hills Golf Course, this year's tournament welcomed 50 teams, was supported by 70 sponsors and donors, and was powered by the countless volunteers whose dedication made the event possible. Together, their efforts made the 20th Annual Golf Scramble the most successful in the event's history.
"This year's Golf Scramble was truly something special," said Emma Navarro, McKenzie Auxiliary Co-President. "The incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, donors, volunteers, and community means we can fulfill the Auxiliary's commitment to the future of healthcare in our region while also providing equipment that will directly benefit patients today. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who made this record-breaking event possible."
Funds raised through this year's event have allowed us to fulfill the Auxiliary's $100,000 pledge to McKenzie Health System's replacement hospital project—well ahead of schedule. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase needed medical equipment, continuing the Auxiliary's long-standing tradition of enhancing patient care through fundraising and volunteer service.
Founded in 1967, the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary is made up of dedicated volunteers who support the hospital through fundraising, volunteer service and community outreach. From operating the Auxiliary Gift Shop to organizing special events throughout the year, the Auxiliary continues to play an important role in enhancing healthcare for patients and families across the region.
Planning is already underway for next year's McKenzie Auxiliary Golf Scramble, which will be held June 3-4, 2027, at Woodland Hills Golf Course. Golfers, sponsors and volunteers are encouraged to save the dates for another exciting opportunity to support local healthcare.
