McKenzie After-Hours Clinic Moves to McKenzie Hospital Campus

McKenzie Health System is taking convenience and healthcare to a new level for patients seeking after-hours care. Beginning June 5, the McKenzie After-Hours Clinic, previously at 74 S. Elk Street in Sandusky, will be located at the McKenzie Hospital Campus – Outpatient Entrance, 120 Delaware Street in Sandusky. The clinic, staffed by Nurse Practitioner Kristie Morgan, will continue offering appointments Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m., except holidays; Friday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., except holidays; and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The community will receive the same compassionate care with expanded services to patients throughout Sanilac County. This move allows After-Hours Clinic patients easier access to testing when needed such as standard lab work and x-rays, which will be available most hours, and means patients are near more advanced care if needed.
Additional services that will now be available to After-Hours Clinic patients include injections, such as antibiotics, steroids, and pain medication; breathing treatments; ear wax removal; employment physicals; wound care; urine drug screenings and collection; and limited durable medical equipment (DME) supplies, such as nebulizers, braces, crutches, and splints.

The After-Hours Clinic is available outside of normal family healthcare clinic hours for a variety of non-emergency issues including minor injury and illness care, sprains and strains, urinary tract infections (UTI), coughs, colds, sore throats, sinus and ear infections, fever or flu-like symptoms, rash and other skin irritations, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, and more.
