Otolaryngology When You Need It Most

You may or may not have heard of the word “otolaryngology” before. This practice is more commonly referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) care. The National Library of Medicine estimates that over 12,000 otolaryngologists are currently practicing within the United States, providing comprehensive ENT services for patients in need.

At McKenzie Health System, we are thrilled to employ fantastic Ear, Nose, and Throat doctors who are qualified to treat a vast variety of conditions in these areas, as well as the head and neck. To learn more about our thorough and comprehensive ENT services, don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team at 810-648-6115.

What Is an Ear, Nose, and Throat Doctor?

As previously mentioned, ENT services focus on the areas within their name – the ears, nose, and throat. In addition, otolaryngologists are also qualified to treat certain conditions affecting the head and neck. An ENT doctor can provide medical or surgical treatments for patients with conditions that may be impacting their ability to hear, speak, or breathe with ease.

The National Library of Medicine also states that there are three common reasons why people typically seek the care of an ear, nose, and throat doctor:

  • Otitis media (middle ear infections)
  • Chronic sinusitis (chronic sinus infections)
  • Impacted cerumen (ear wax impactions)

Additional ENT services we provide at McKenzie Health System include, but are not limited to:

  • Treatment of allergies, including seasonal allergies
  • Treatment of sinus disorders
  • Treatment of ear disorders
  • Septoplasty
  • Tonsil surgery
  • Adenoid surgery
  • Hearing evaluation
