McKenzie After-Hours Clinic Adds Self-Scheduling Options for Patients

     Sanilac County, Mich. – Making it easier for patients to schedule visits, the McKenzie After-Hours Clinic now offers a self-scheduling option for appointments. The clinic, which offers both in-person and virtual appointments when appropriate, serves patients who need to see a provider after hours but who do not require emergency room care.

     “We know many patients appreciate the ease and convenience of self-scheduling, which can also reduce wait times and simplify the check-in process,” said Heather Chambers, Director of Healthcare Practices at McKenzie Health System. “We are pleased to add yet another convenient option for our patients throughout the community. You can now schedule your appointment online or call in if you still prefer to have a staff members do the scheduling.”

     The McKenzie After-Hours Clinic, located at 74 S. Elk St. in Sandusky, is open Monday through Thursday, 4:30 to 9 p.m.; Friday, 1 to 9 p.m.; and weekends and holidays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments can be made on the website or by calling 810-648-6202. Nurse Practitioner Kristie Morgan, MSN, FNP-C connects with patients using telehealth technology for both in office and virtual appointments.

     While the clinic is not intended for emergencies, it is ideal for minor injuries or illness, minor burns, coughs/colds/sore throats, sinus and ear infections, fever or flu-like systems, non-threatening allergic reactions, and rashes or other skin irritations.
