Sandusky Lions Club Pledges $25,000 Toward New Hospital

For more than 85 years, the Sandusky Lions Club has quietly made a difference in the lives of local families — often in ways many in the community have experienced personally.
Through programs like Toys for Kids, which has helped bring joy to local children for more than 45 years, vision support initiatives, eyeglass recycling for those in need, and events like White Cane Week, the club has long lived out its motto: “We Serve.”
Now, the Sandusky Lions Club is continuing that tradition of service by pledging $25,000 to the McKenzie Foundation in support of the new hospital building project. Their generous commitment qualifies the club for a naming opportunity for one of the hospital’s inpatient rooms.
Led by current President Gerald Smith, the Sandusky Lions Club continues to demonstrate what community truly looks like — neighbors helping neighbors and investing in a healthier future for everyone who calls this area home.
The McKenzie Foundation is deeply grateful for their continued dedication to the community.
