Making it easier for drivers of commercial motor vehicles to get the regular physical exams required for their work, Peck Medical Center, a part of McKenzie Health System, now offers Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. In addition to its full-service family healthcare offerings, Peck Medical Center added the regulated physical examinations, which must be performed by medical examiners who are trained and certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
The DOT testing examines health history, vision, hearing, blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes, respiratory issues and more. Providers at Peck Medical Center stay current on all DOT regulations and testing protocol.
“We are happy to help the many commercial motor vehicle drivers in the area complete the testing they need to succeed in their work, and are pleased to support individuals and families in all of their ongoing healthcare needs,” said Nurse Practitioner Stephanie Hebberd.
In addition to DOT screenings, Peck Medical Center offers complete, newborn through geriatric care including allergy injections, blood draws, diagnostic testing, immunizations, minor surgical procedures, patient health education, exams for sports/school/insurance/work, treatment of acute and chronic care.
Patients can be seen by Dr. James L. Sams and Nurse Practitioner Stephanie Hebberd at the Peck location. Peck Medical Center is located at 251 E. Peck Rd. in Peck and appointments can be scheduled by calling 810-378-4900. Appointments are also available at the remaining McKenzie family health clinic locations, which include McKenzie Family Healthcare, McKenzie Health and Wellness, and McKenzie Rural Health Clinic (all located in Sandusky); Croswell Clinic; and Lakeshore Internal Medicine (located in Port Sanilac).
