McKenzie Health System Auxiliary Fall Event Raises More Than $5,000

With more than $5,200 raised, the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary’s “Fall into the Holiday Spirit” annual event was a resounding success.

Nearly 50 local sponsors donated a variety of festive pieces, and the special silent auction of fall and holiday décor hosted over 100 excited bidders at Bench Warmers on November 9. “We would like to thank the following individuals, businesses and organizations for providing our silent auction items: Accents Salon; Ball Insurance Agency; Bench Warmers Sports Bar and Grill; Laurie Burns & Marlena Zeidler; Chase Bank; Chemical Bank; Clear Ideas, Inc.; Continental Rental; Dairy Queen; Downtown Deli; Dryer and Dryer CPA’s LLC; Eastern Michigan Bank; Elk Street Brewery; Exchange State Bank; Fidelity Title; Firebird Theater; Green Acres Apartments; Jensen Bridge; Sherri Lanctot; Latitude Creations; Liberty Lanes; Scott Long, Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.; McConnachie Greenhouse; McKenzie Auxiliary Gift Shop; My Community Dental Clinic; Pearls & Lace; Pizza Hut; Port Sanilac Tree Farm; Reflections Salon; Robins Nest; SISD Alternative Career Program (ACE); Sandtown Florist; Sandusky Community Hearts; Sandusky District Library; Sanilac Dental Care; Sanilac Drain & Tile; Sanilac Florist; Sanilac Pharmacy; Sugar Town Sweets; Sweet Impressions; TLC Insurance; TNT Equipment; Team One Credit Union; Thumb Cellular; Tribune Recorder Leader; Western Tree Farm; and Woodland Hills Golf Club,” shared Emma Navarro, Holiday Event Committee Chair.

Attendees enjoyed an evening of festive holiday drinks, snacks and a wonderful chance to raise funds for a great cause.

“Like the dining rooms in our homes, our hospital’s dining room is an important place to gather, enjoy a good meal, and take a break or catch up with loved ones, so we are incredibly grateful to have raised more than $5,000 to support our upcoming renovation,” said Navarro. “Our community does a wonderful job of coming together to support each other and everyone definitely ‘fell into the holiday spirit’ this year! We appreciate our donors and everyone who joined us for this event.”
