McKenzie Auxiliary Elects New Leadership

auxiliary installationWith a nearly 50-year track record of service, the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary consists of men and women who donate their time and talents for the benefit of the hospital system and the community it serves.

During the October 8 meeting, new leadership was elected for the coming year.  Those installed were Patti O’Connor, President/Historian; Bert McBride, Vice-President; Kelsey Jensen, Treasurer; Rebecca Cambridge, Secretary; Marge Hall, Phone Tree Chairperson; Jo Derr, Gift Shop Chairperson; Erny Doerr, Sunshine Chairperson. Unable to attend was Lori Zdrojewski, Parliamentarian/Legislative Chairperson.

Founded in 1967, the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary offers a wealth of volunteer opportunities. The members visit with patients and assist with simple daily tasks; they serve in the gift shop and coordinate fundraising to purchase new equipment for the hospital. In addition to their work at McKenzie Health System, the Auxiliary members are active in the community and participate in a variety of service and charitable organizations throughout Sanilac County.
