Healthy Lifestyle’s “Revenge of the Crock Pot Wars” – October 26

“One of our favorite Healthy Lifestyle Workshops is returning by popular demand on Monday, October 26, at 5:30 p.m., in the Dining Room of McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware St!,” reports Louise Blasius, Director of Social Services at McKenzie Health System, and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson. “’Revenge of the Crock Pot Wars’ will feature a fun and tasty way to help you build your crock pot recipe library!” she declares.  Space is limited, so pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett, McKenzie Health System, 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

In this one-of-a-kind workshop, Healthy Lifestyle committee members compete for audience members’ votes for the best crock pot recipe ever!  Even though the committee members with the most votes will receive an award, attendees will be the real winners because they will be able to taste all the food, and receive the recipes for all the dishes presented in the competition!  On top of that, audience members can rest assured that all the recipes will be healthy and nutritious as well as delicious!

Last year the McKenzie Dietary Department captured the coveted ‘Gold Ladle Award’ and Karolyn McEntee, Great Start Collaborative Director, earned the ‘Silver Ladle Award’.  The community is invited to come and choose this year’s prize winners.  All attendees will also be entered into a drawing for the grand prize of a FREE 3 Crock Round Slow Cooker!

“Please join us for this lively, tasty and entertaining FREE workshop on Monday, October 26, at McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware St., Sandusky,” invites Blasius.  “Be sure to bring your taste buds!”
