Healthy Lifestyle Workshop Focuses on “Going with the Grain”!

Sandusky, Mich. – Calling all families with children!  Aaron Puzan, Chef at Autumnwood of Deckerville, will be the featured speaker at the August 2016, “Go with the Grain” Healthy Lifestyle Workshop, scheduled for Monday, August 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room at 120 N. Delaware, Sandusky.  Adults and children will all make their own healthy pizza to grill!  Pre-registration for this free class is required by calling Nina Barnett, McKenzie Health System, at 810-648-6127, or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Whole grains are so important for good health, but sometimes parents don’t know how to use them when cooking for the family,” explains Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Community and Human Services at McKenzie Health System, and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson.  “We’ll have a special treat at the August 29 Healthy Lifestyle Workshop when Chef Puzan will not only give participants  great tips on using whole grains, but also help the adults and children make their own pizza using whole grains!”

“Please join us for this tasty workshop that will provide valuable information and the makings of a great meal all in one,” invites Blasius.  “In addition, all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a great door prize of a pizza tray, pizza cutter, spatula, oven mitts and towels!”

For more information about the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.   We hope to see you there!
