In rNicole Liccardelloecognition of April as Alcohol Awareness Month, McKenzie Health System invites the public to focus on “Alcohol and Your Health” at the April Lunch and Learn Workshop on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from Noon to 1 p.m. in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room.  The workshop will be presented by Nicole Liccardello, DNP, FNP-C, McKenzie Health System.  Cost to attend is $5, which includes lunch.  Pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Many of us enjoy an occasional glass of wine or cocktail when socializing,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Community and Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “But, what are the risks of alcohol, how can we make sure that we are using it safely, and how do we know if alcohol is becoming a problem for us or someone we love? Those are the kinds of important issues that Nicole Liccardello will be addressing at this month’s session.”

As always, the workshop will provide useful information in a relaxed, personal atmosphere and questions will be welcomed,” states Blasius.  “In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal. What a great way to spend a lunch time!” For more information about the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.
