Spotlight on McKenzie Health System’s Emergency Department!

McKenzie Health System is pleased to feature Patty Schafsnitz, RN, Director of Nursing Services; Konni Phillips, RN, Emergency Room Manager; and Mark Hamed, MD, MBA, MPH, Medical Director of the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine, as the presenters at the June Lunch and Learn program, “Spotlight on Our Emergency Department Care.”  The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 2018, from Noon to 1 p.m., in the McKenzie Health System Dining Room. Lunch and Learn is a community education series held every third Wednesday of the month. The cost for the workshop is $5, and lunch is included in the price. Pre-registration is required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“At the June 20th Lunch and Learn workshop, McKenzie Health System will highlight the outstanding care that the Emergency Department delivers through new technology and personal, individualized service,” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System. “We have an excellent group of physicians and nurses specifically trained for Emergency Care staffing our Emergency Department 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Combining that level of expertise with the warmth and friendliness of a rural hospital makes our Emergency Care truly exceptional!”

“Lunch and Learn attendees will learn about what’s new in the Emergency Department and how Emergency Care has evolved over the years to bring unique care to our patients,” explains Blasius.  “As always, this workshop will provide valuable information in a relaxed, personal atmosphere, where questions will be welcomed,” adds Blasius. “Because our dining room has limited seating, pre-registrations are required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org. We encourage people to reserve their space as soon as possible, since this class is sure to fill up fast! We hope to see you there!”
