Patient Information

Registration & Admitting

The Registration staff will verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients who have been scheduled for a procedure or hospital stay. The Registration Department works directly with physician offices and insurance companies to confirm that all required referrals and authorizations have been approved prior to your test being performed.

The staff in your physician’s office notifies insurance companies of your pending surgery to obtain prior approval. During this process, someone from the physician’s office may contact you to ensure all necessary information has been received.  The hospital staff notifies your insurance company that you require hospital admission, in order to obtain approval when indicated. If you have any questions concerning this process, please call the hospital at 810-648-3770.
