MHS’s 3rd Annual “Pink Up the Pace 5K” Raises $1,500

About 75 participants in McKenzie Health System’s third annual 5K raised more than $1,500 to benefit the McKenzie Health System Women’s Health and Wellness Fund on Oct. 7.

The event was sponsored by Graff Chevrolet Buick in Sandusky, Woodland Hills Golf Club, Tubbs Brothers, Eastern Michigan Bank, and Taylor Hutchinson Fitness. The morning was filled with an atmosphere of wellness and fun, including costumes, cheering and support of women’s health services. The funds raised through the race will help local women who need help in paying for testing and other services.

“There is nothing like a shower of pink confetti at the finish line and all of the amazing community support we see at this wonderful event,” said Nina Barnett, Public Relations Coordinator, McKenzie Health System. “We are tremendously proud of our runners and walkers of all ages and happy to be able to help many local women thanks to this event.”
