Learn Safe Food Handling for Crowds at the April 24 Healthy Lifestyle Workshop!

Open Houses are just around the corner and you may have questions about how to keep all that food safe for your guests.  Come and learn all you need to know at the next Healthy Lifestyle Workshop, which will take place in the Back Dining Room of McKenzie Health System, 120 Delaware St., Sandusky, on Monday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m.  Bryant Wilke, Chief Health Officer at the Sanilac County Health Department, will be the featured speaker. Registrations are required by calling Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127 or emailing nbarnett@mckenziehealth.org.

“Handling food safely is a timely subject since the weather is getting warmer and graduation open houses and family reunions are sure to be taking place in the next few months. Cooking for crowds can be different than simply cooking for our families, and we all want our food to be safe to eat as well as delicious!” reports Louise Blasius, LMSW, LPC, Director of Human Services at McKenzie Health System and Healthy Lifestyle Committee Chairperson.  “Mr. Wilke will have valuable information on how to cook and keep food safe for all sorts of gatherings, from small family picnics and outings to large group events.  This is one Healthy Lifestyle you certainly don’t want to miss!”   For more information on the workshop, contact Louise Blasius at 810-648-6181; to reserve your spot, contact Nina Barnett at 810-648-6127.
